About Olivine

Olivine is a collective of senior product marketers, sales managers, copywriters, designers, and filmmakers. We combine deep product marketing knowledge, cinematic film experience, and a great process around positioning, messaging, and design to help SaaS companies tell brand, product, and customer stories that grow revenue.

What's the opportunity?

Olivine is looking to hire a part-time freelance Senior Product Marketing Consultant to work on and lead key client projects.

This is a truly unique opportunity to work with a team of seasoned product marketers, content marketers, and designers and get exposed to a wide variety of brands, people, and projects. You'll collaborate closely with the Olivine team as well as client stakeholders at top companies across sales, marketing, sales enablement, and product. You will support Olivine by leading customer projects and reviewing content, assets, and materials for a variety of touchpoints—including marketing strategy workshops, sales collateral, product landing pages, product announcements, internal content, and more.

The Senior Product Marketing Consultant role is perfect for someone who has gained enough experience at Product Marketing roles within scaling startups and mature public companies who now wants to start freelancing for more freedom and independence with the benefit of a team to connect with and learn from.

What will you be doing?

As a Senior Product Marketing Consultant, some of the things you will contribute to:

  • Attend and at a later stage lead client workshops to define their personas, brand, and product positioning.

  • Lead projects execution by working with a team of PMM associates, designers, and project managers.

  • Develop customer-facing sales and marketing materials for clients, setting the direction for it and reviewing the work executed by PMM associates assigned to the project. This could include landing page content, sales pitch decks, personas, customer stories, blog posts, email copy.

  • Copywriting, reviewing, and proofreading for marketing collateral.

  • Conduct research on competitive landscape and product marketing best practices.

What skills/traits do you need?

  • Deep sense of ownership

  • Strategic vision

  • Accountability for completing work on time

  • Serious attention to detail

  • Eager to help, give and receive constructive feedback, and try new things

  • Passion for technology and a general understanding of how technical products work

  • Storyteller who loves finding unique ways to communicate the value of brands

  • Bonus points if you are comfortable with Zoom, Asana, Google Docs/Slides/Sheets, Loom, Miro, and Slack.

What experience do you need?

  • 5-10 years experience in product marketing, copywriting, or sales roles.

  • Bonus points if you’ve worked in B2B SaaS.

What’s the commitment?

  • Starting in September, we’d need 10-15 hours a week.

  • When you work is mostly flexible, but you’d need to be able to attend team and client meetings during weekdays in PST/EST time zones.

  • We’d start with a paid test project with a 3-month trial period and if it’s a good mutual fit, we’d expand your hours and term.

What’s in it for you?

  • Flexible working hours so you can grocery shop weekday mornings when everyone else is at work.

  • 100% remote — work from anywhere, as long as your working hours overlap with US PST and EST time zones.

  • Expand your experience by helping multiple clients from diverse industries and stages to define and achieve their product marketing strategic goals.

  • A diverse team from all over the world. Our teammates are based in San Francisco, Boston, Philadelphia, New York, Argentina, Portugal, and more.

  • Supportive, happy teammates who genuinely care about each other and what we do in and outside work.

  • Unlike most agencies, we don’t take on too much work and we don’t work with jerk clients.

How to apply
