If Spotify playlist was a PMM trying to launch a product

Been seeing some hilarious Spotify playlists around the internet tubes: Cold emails, help desk tickets, and VC rejections. This delightful trend is fueled weirdspot.fyi. I decided to make a playlist of my own (but I did it the analog way) and I have to say:

It’s a vibe.

(Not safe for work tho, so headphones are recommended.)

Listen on:

Ready to Launch

The CEO has fever dreams.

That we need to build something new.

And write fresh positioning and messaging.

Sh*t! Competition. Who dis?

Another copycat. They are the bad guy.

The cure?

Product Management: you gotta be evergreen.

OK. We’ll build an MVP and release it.

With standard pricing and packaging.

We believe no one does it better.

Ugh, but no one will pay for it.

Let’s try everything.

The message needs something about us.

Write it down. No, it’s too long.

Change everything.

Sorry! Boomerang.

How about a bit of both?

We’ll come together. Just chippin’ away.

Now it’s everything I wanted.

I believe we are unstoppable.

No matter what, we’ll make it better.

Even under pressure.

We’re at the finish lineabout damn time!

Launch and say a little prayer.

In the morning light, we’ll sell it.

But don’t go yet. It’s just begun.

P.S. I made this playlist to celebrate our launch of Olivine Marketplace which connects startups with vetted product marketing consultants. We support the engagement to make it great and with the marketplace, pricing/scope is more flexible than our typical full-service agency offering.

P.P.S. Another playlist by Olivine:

Raechel Lambert

Co-Founder & VP of Product Marketing. Formerly Intercom.
